Damian Blackburn CEO of Digicel Haiti and Group Director Special Projects
For the last four years, Damian has played an integral role in the growth of Digicel’s business across several markets in various capacities. Now as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Haiti and Group Director Special Projects, he is leading the growth and development of the business in one of Digicel’s key markets. His roles as CEO of Digicel Haiti and Group Director Special Projects report to the Group CEO, Colm Delves. Damian joined Digicel in 2008 as Group Operational Development Director. He was promoted in early 2009 to Regional CEO with responsibility for our 12 Eastern and Northern Caribbean markets. In October 2010 he became CEO of Digicel’s operation in Honduras until its sale to América Móvil in November 2011. With more than 14 years of experience in the telecoms industry, Damian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. Prior to joining Digicel, he held senior management positions with several telecom companies including Virgin Mobile, BT Group and Vodafone in the United Kingdom. Damian is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountancy and holds a BA Hons in Economics from the University of Durham and is based in Haiti. |
