DEAZLE AND CHARLES WIN SUZUKI SWIFTS FROM DIGICEL
March 1st 2010 - DIGICEL SUZUKI SWIFT WINNERS FOUNDKeisha Deazle and Dylon Charles each drove away with a Suzuki Swift from Digicel’s “All I Want” promotion winner draw when the curtains closed on the campaign last Friday.
The draw was a live broadcast on ABS TV’s popular morning program, Good Morning Antigua and Barbuda shot on location at Digicel Redcliffe Street Store.
The draw captured the curiosity of the business community nearby and quite a few employees could be seen in the crowd watching the excitement as it unfolded without a worry of being late for work.
Of the 20 finalists who were invited for a chance to win 1 of 2 Suzuki Swifts, 19 appeared feeling extremely lucky and privileged - 7 males and 12 females.
Hosts of Good Morning Antigua Barbuda (GMAB) program Eldean Eudelle and Brucella Marsh, divided the finalists out into 2 groups.
Keisha Deazle and 8 other finalists were in the first group to win the red Suzuki Swift. It was now down to 2 finalists, Deazle and Vonetta Forde. Deazle, who is from Barbuda, was first of the 2 to try her luck but she could not contain her excitement as she jumped and screamed then hid behind the car covering her face when she realized the door opened with the key she selected.
Deazle was speechless and said she was “overwhelmed and happy” in her interview.
When it was time for the second group, all ten finalists were nervously awaiting their fate. It was also a nail biting scenario for this group as Dylon was 1 of 2 finalists who were yet to try their chance at opening the door. When the crowd shouted ladies first, the host (Eldean) obliged. Racquel Dennis walked over to the car and inserted her key, but when she was denied access her smile turned to a frown and immediately without missing a beat, Dylon’s supporters began cheering as he was smiling and pointing to the sky obviously very happy that he had won. He then opened the car with his key and assumed his rightful position in the driver’s seat proclaiming his prize. “I knew since the day I got the call that I would win and I am grateful for this opportunity” Dylon said.
At the end of the 3 months promotion which was launched on November 16th 2009, three lucky Digicel customers are now happy owners of a brand new Suzuki Swift all made possible by Hadeed Motors, RIM BlackBerry and Digicel.
Troy Byrne, Digicel Marketing Manager, expressed his gratitude by saying “First, let me thank everyone, most importantly, all our customers for the overwhelming support of this campaign which we can only sum up as a resounding success. Without you and our partners in this promotion, this would not have been possible. Even though this may be the end of this promotion, it’s just the beginning of something new and more exciting to come. Congratulations to both winners who have now joined Carol Josiah in the winner’s circle, you certainly deserve it”.
Before it was all over, Jashan Hughes, first runner-up in the 2009 Groovy Monarch competition, serenaded the finalists and those that were in attendance. J.M and General P followed closely and build on the momentum set by Jashan and performed a tribute to Haiti titled “Haiti we still love you”.
It doesn’t seem as Digicel will ever stop from exceeding and satisfying their customer’s expectations with their services and promotions as they are now talks of something more exciting than their “All I Want” promotion soon to come.
