DIGICEL UNVEILS SPANKING NEW STORE AND LOCATION IN ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA
Monday, 15 March 2010 – St. John’s Antigua/Barbuda: Digicel, the Bigger, Better Network, today proudly unveiled a spanking new store in the heart of the capital St. John’s, which will provide residents and visitors alike to Antigua and Barbuda with a more comfortable, convenient and spacious environment within which to do business.
The state-of-the-art facility is located at the corner of Redcliffe and Market Streets and replaces the branch previously located in the Weathered building just a few blocks away from the new location on Redcliffe Street. Not only is the location in a more highly trafficked area, it cannot be missed because it is attractively painted in the signature red and white Digicel colours.
“Digicel is extremely pleased to be able to open this new store on Redcliffe Street today,” said General Manager of the Eastern Caribbean North John Delves. “This move came about as a result of our determination to respond to the needs of our customers and to endeavour to provide a Bigger, Better service to the people of Antigua and Barbuda.”
He said the new location is more easily accessible by customers and provides enhanced space for customer service representatives to showcase the Digicel products and interact with customers on a day-to-day basis. In essence, customers will be able to access the cutting edge technology in the store - the top up vending machine to purchase top up and the touch screen kiosk to get a quick view of the latest handsets on offer.
Delves said in addition to the other main branch in the Woods Mall, Digicel intends to continue to provide the very best in innovative products and services to all of its customers, from the widest range of handsets, to unique rate plans tailored to the varied needs of our subscribers.”
The General Manager used the opportunity to thank all Digicel staff for dedicating themselves to bringing quality telecoms service to Antigua and Barbuda. He also thanked all of Digicel’s loyal subscribers to signing up to The Bigger, Better Network and encouraged those who have not already done so to SWITCH today and benefit from the best value service.
In recognition of the official store opening, the first 250 customers who top up their Digicel phone received an additional $5 FREE on their account, and every customer who top up at the store on opening day was also given the opportunity to double their credit on their first top up. Digicel has sweetened the deal by offering each customer who made a purchase of top up, bought a handset or paying their Digicel bill in full a chance to win a handset 1 of 6 handsets at close of the business day.
