worth of Groceries up for Grabs!
Monday 30th January 2012 –
St. John’s, Antigua: Digicel,
Antigua and Barbuda’s Bigger, Better Network, today announced the launch of its
first exciting promotion of 2012, “Digicel Supermarket Sweep,” in which
customers are in with a chance to walk away with up to $70,000 worth of
groceries.
The
promotion, which runs until Wednesday 4th April, will see three
finalists participate in a live show every fortnight in an attempt to win the top
prize of $5,000 in groceries.
The
show, which will air on ABS TV each fortnight, will see contestants vying for
their share of the $10,000 grocery prize. Every contestant will be a winner
with third place winners receiving $2,000
in groceries, and second place winners walking away with $3,000 worth of
groceries.
Customers
can qualify for their chance to win simply by talking for three minutes or
more, buying a new handset with a prepaid or postpaid SIM or paying their bill
in full and on time. Customers must also own an Epicurean loyalty Card and have
spent an accumulative amount of $200 in the two weeks preceding each draw for a
chance to win.
The
launch which was aired live on ABS TV’s morning show, Good Morning Antigua and
Barbuda’s also featured a charity supermarket dash. Brucella Marsh and William
Dorsette from Good Morning Antigua and Barbuda competed against the duo from Digicel,
Troy Byrne and Janice Sutherland, in a friendly one-minute dash for charity.
The Digicel team was declared the winner with over $1,300 worth of groceries which
was donated to Clarevue Psychiatric Hospital.

at ways in which we can wow our customers and with the launch of Digicel’s
Supermarket Sweep, we’ve done just that. This morning was very exciting and
we’re sure our customers are going to enjoy it as much as the viewers did here.
“The
first live show kicks off on February 10th at 8pm with the others to follow on
February 24th, March 9th, March 23rd and April 6th.”
