Thursday, September 30^th, 2010 – St. John, Antigua: Digicel and EL A KRU featuring Tizzy have signed a sponsorship deal that will see Antigua & Barbuda’s Premiere Soca Band join forces with Antigua & Barbuda’s only EDGE network to deliver a number of marketing campaigns & initiatives over the next 18 months.

“We are thrilled that EL A KRU featuring Tizzy have joined the Bigger, Better Network!” said Troy Byrne, Marketing Manager for Digicel Antigua. “EL-A-KRU has a strong pedigree on the local, regional and international music scene and there is great synergy between both brands”.

The band's single, 'Antigua Nice' was dubbed "Antigua’s new anthem", and was used extensively by the Antigua Ministry of Tourism in their customer care initiative for the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

This summer, EL A KRU received rave reviews as the only soca artist on the lineup of the 2010 UCLA Jazz and Reggae Festival, in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. With an annual attendance of over 30,000 and performances from legendary artists such as Erykah Badu and the Marley brothers, UCLA Jazz and Reggae Festival is the largest student-run event in the United States. Tizzy and the guys are an Antiguan institution on the world stage!”
